GNOK BUG · SERVICE TERMS

Terms of Service

Version: gnok-bug-2026-10-20-2 · Effective October 20, 2026. Permanent copy of this version.

These terms apply specifically to Gnok Bug, including app.gnokbug.com, gnokbug.com and the identity services used to access Bug. They replace the Limited Availability terms for your use of Gnok Bug.

1. Agreement and scope

These Terms are between Gnok, Inc., a Delaware corporation (Gnok, we), and the person or organization using Gnok Bug (Customer, you). By accepting these Terms or using the Service, you agree to them. If you act for an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind it. Users must be at least 18. The Service is Gnok Bug’s hosted issue tracking and collaboration application, related APIs, website and support. A written order or paid agreement signed by Gnok is an Order.

2. Signup, approval and accounts

New workspaces require email verification and manual approval. Submission and verification do not guarantee approval or immediate access. Workspace administrators must use multi-factor authentication. Give accurate account details, protect credentials and recovery methods, and tell us promptly about unauthorized access. Your organization controls its members, guests, permissions and uploaded content.

3. Thirty-day free trial and paid access

A workspace registered through Gnok Bug signup receives one free trial of 30 consecutive days, starting at its first authorized sign-in after approval. Inviting a member, adding a guest or signing in again does not restart the workspace’s trial. Continued access after the trial requires a paid agreement with Gnok. We do not automatically charge you or enroll you in a paid subscription. Contact support@gnok.com before the trial ends to agree pricing, term and applicable limits.

After the trial or agreed paid term ends, new Bug authorization codes and token renewals are blocked unless a paid agreement is recorded. Existing access tokens may remain usable for up to five minutes. Contact support for export or deletion assistance. Trial expiry alone does not automatically erase your data. An Order governs agreed paid fees, payment dates, renewal and cancellation; a new fee or renewal is not created merely by accepting these Terms.

4. Your content and confidentiality

You retain ownership of issues, comments, attachments, project configuration and other content you provide (Customer Data). You grant Gnok permission to host, process, copy, transmit and display it as needed to provide, secure and support the Service, prevent abuse and comply with law. We do not sell Customer Data. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to upload it and for the access your administrators grant.

Each party will protect the other’s non-public information with reasonable care, use it for the purposes of this agreement, and disclose it only to people who need it for those purposes and are bound to protect it, or as required by law. Customer Data is your confidential information. Ordinary confidential business issues and business contact information may be used in Bug under these Terms. Do not upload passwords, private keys, payment card details, government identification numbers, protected health information or other specially regulated data without our prior written agreement and any required data processing agreement.

5. Use, integrations and optional features

Follow the Gnok Bug Acceptable Use Policy. You are responsible for the services and recipients you connect, including email notifications, guests, webhooks and external integrations. Those services may receive the content you choose to share and have their own terms. Where you enable or use AI features, prompts and referenced content may be sent to the configured AI provider. Check output before relying on it. Optional or experimental integrations do not carry a separate availability or correctness commitment unless an Order says so.

6. Export, retention and deletion

Authorized users can export visible issues using the application. An organization administrator can request a full tenant export, including issue history and attachment retrieval assistance, at support@gnok.com. Full exports and deletion are operator-assisted and require verification of authority. Keep your own copies of important work. We retain expired trial content for at least 30 days to allow an administrator to request an export or arrange paid access; we may subsequently delete it after notifying the administrator. Expiry does not grant continued interactive access.

An authorized administrator can request workspace deletion. We verify the request, disable access and coordinate deletion of Bug database content, attachments and associated identity records as applicable. Data in rotating backups and previous object versions is not removed instantly; it ages out under the retention described in our Privacy Policy. Legal or security preservation obligations may require limited records to be retained. We will explain applicable exceptions when handling the request.

7. Security, availability and support

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards described on our security page. If we confirm a security incident involving unauthorized access to, loss, alteration or disclosure of Customer Data, we will notify your organization’s administrators without undue delay, explain what we know and provide updates. Gnok does not claim SOC 2, ISO 27001 or other compliance certification.

Support is by email at support@gnok.com on a best-effort basis, without a guaranteed response time. There is no uptime, recovery-time or service-level commitment unless in a signed Order. Published operational measurements and status information are informational. Maintenance can interrupt access; we will try to announce planned maintenance in advance.

8. Changes, suspension and ending service

We may improve or change the Service. We may suspend access to address a security risk, abuse, a material breach, nonpayment under an Order or a legal requirement. We will tell you before suspension where reasonably possible and restore access when its cause is resolved. You may stop using Bug and request an export or deletion at any time. Either party may terminate for a material breach not remedied within 30 days of notice; serious abuse or legal requirements may require immediate termination. If we discontinue the Service or end access for a reason other than your breach, we will give at least 30 days’ notice to request export.

Material changes to these Terms will be posted with a new version and notified in the Service or to administrators at least 15 days before taking effect, except changes needed for law, security or abuse. Previous versions will be archived. If you disagree, stop using the Service and contact us about export and any applicable Order.

9. Ownership, warranties and liability

Gnok and its licensors own the Service, software and trademarks. Feedback may be used without obligation to you. Except for express commitments in these Terms or an Order, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or lost profits, revenue or data. Each party’s total liability arising from the Service or these Terms is limited to the greater of fees paid for Gnok Bug in the preceding 12 months and US$100. These limits do not apply to your payment obligations, the indemnity below or liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

You will defend Gnok against third-party claims arising from Customer Data or your use in breach of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, and pay damages, costs and reasonable legal fees finally awarded or agreed in settlement. We will promptly notify you, allow you to control the defense and reasonably cooperate.

10. General and contact

Delaware law governs, without its conflict-of-laws rules. The parties will first try to resolve disputes informally for 30 days after notice; disputes then belong in state or federal courts in Delaware, except urgent injunctive relief in any competent court. Follow applicable export controls and sanctions. The Service is operated from the United States and stores data there.

A signed Order prevails over these Terms; an agreed data processing addendum prevails for personal data processing. These Terms and the Acceptable Use Policy are the agreement about Gnok Bug, replacing earlier Bug preview terms. Provisions concerning ownership, data handling, confidentiality, disclaimers, liability, disputes and amounts owed survive termination. If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder applies.
